Who is Coach Mike?
Michael Henry Jr., 33, is a dedicated athlete and coach originally from Rahway. A graduate of South River High School, he was a multi-sport athlete who competed in wrestling, track, football, and other sports, building a strong foundation in discipline, toughness, and teamwork.
He continued his athletic and academic journey at Brewton-Parker College, where he earned his bachelor’s degree while competing in track. His experience as a student-athlete shaped his passion for mentorship and leadership.
Why do you want to be a Coach?
Coach Henry’s mission goes far beyond the game. He is committed to keeping kids out of trouble, pushing them to never give up, and giving them the knowledge and confidence to succeed both on and off the field. He believes in developing not just athletes, but strong young men and women who understand hard work, accountability, and having fun while chasing greatness.
What do u want for Southeast jaguars future?
With his leadership, vision, and passion, his goal is to take the Jaguars to the next level—building a program that earns respect, recognition, and a name on the map.
